AutoCAD 2022, Autodesk’s new software, takes the design process to the next level with connected workflows and automation, allowing users to focus on what is most important in creating a design solution.
The new AutoCAD is full of new features and values. Within it, there are as many as seven groups of specific special-purpose tools (for different industries) and they are all automated to speed up the work in the software itself. All features are available on both the web and mobile versions of the AutoCAD application, allowing you to use it from anywhere at any time.
New features such as “Trace” and “Share” will completely transform your way of working. With these functionalities, you will be able to work seamlessly with your team and colleagues, from anywhere. The “Count” function will save you time by eliminating the need for manual counting and changing it to automatic, and therefore more accurate, counting of blocks and geometric CAD objects.
Within AutoCAD software, there is a specialized group of tools for various industries such as mechanical, electrical, and architecture. In practice, these tools have been shown to increase productivity by automating tasks and having a library containing hundreds of thousands of intelligent parts, symbols, and functions.
AutoCAD 2022 and the AutoCAD web and mobile application give you a ‘connected’ design experience. Flexibility in drafting and design on desktops, the web, and mobile devices are one of the main features of the improvements made within AutoCAD. The new software allows you to share and tag DWG files on the web and in mobile applications. You can now upload drawing templates, drawing styles, and other documents to produce a DWG document that better suits your company’s drafting standards or the demands of its website – which is previously built for attracting your customers (one of the ways is certainly through the e-mail automation process for which there is the variety of tools, such as VerticalResponse) – through the AutoCAD online application. In addition to being able to connect to a variety of devices, using AutoCAD 2022 software, you are also able to connect to other products in the Autodesk ecosystem.
With the new “Push to Autodesk Docs” feature, you can publish your drawings from AutoCAD to Autodesk Docs, and with the AutoCAD web application, you can link to files stored in Autodesk Docs and Autodesk Drive. All of this facilitates and simplifies workflows and document sharing between AutoCAD 2022 and other Autodesk products. But that is not all. AutoCAD also easily connects to leading cloud storages, including Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Box, and Dropbox. The focus of the new improvements is automation and collaboration, i.e. the idea of the innovation was to enable you to work smarter and not more to save time and stay focused on what matters.
The “Trace” Function Simplifies the Cycle of Viewing Drawings
“Trace” enhances digital collaboration, allowing you to work with colleagues from any device and anywhere. You and your associates are able to mark DWG documents without making changes to an existing drawing. So, your colleagues can leave a trace via the web or mobile device and indicate the changes they want to see in the drawing. “Trace” can then be opened inside AutoCAD on the desktop, where your colleague’s feedback will be automatically displayed to you, within a DWG document where you can make changes immediately.
Technically speaking, it is a multi-platform digital workflow that allows you to collaborate with your team wherever they are while simplifying the drawing review cycle.
The “Share” Function Enhances Collaboration
With the “Share” function, you are now able to securely share drawings with your team and colleagues directly from AutoCAD. You can also select access levels, such as “View Only” or “Edit” and send copies of the drawings to your team, whose security you can absolutely manage. You can generate a sharing link from AutoCAD and the AutoCAD web application. Links are opened directly in the web application.
“Share” gives you more control and is a safe way to digitally collaborate with your team anytime, anywhere.
Increase the Accuracy of Counting Cad Objects With the Help of the “Count” Automation Function
Today’s business activities require continuous innovation and all innovations concern automation. The “Count” function fulfills this condition. It is designed to speed up, facilitate, and automate the counting of blocks and geometric CAD objects to save time and reduce errors. You also have the ability to export data to a dynamic table and get updates quickly. By eliminating manual counting, you will avoid incorrect part counting or ordering incorrect quantities.
The “Count” function will save a lot of time by eliminating the manual counting of blocks in the drawing, as well as by eliminating the human factor and the possibility of error.
Be more efficient with “Push to Autodesk Docs”
By allowing users to publish CAD drawings in PDF format directly from AutoCAD to Autodesk Docs, “Push to Autodesk Docs” improves efficiency. There is no need to save PDFs locally, open a web search, or upload sheets to the cloud.
If you’ve been looking for a means to view and edit numerous drawings in a single instance of AutoCAD, the new “Floating” windows are the answer. They completely change the ‘game’. They allow you to pull out drawing cards and view them as fully functional windows on several monitors or side by side in the same instance of AutoCAD. With “Floating” windows you can do your work in seconds. You don’t have to wait for AutoCAD to reopen and discover another drawing. Just click and drag – and you are done.
You can access documents in the cloud using the AutoCAD web and mobile tools. Autodesk Drive and Autodesk Docs links have been added to the AutoCAD web application this year, allowing you to effortlessly connect to and access files within the Autodesk ecosystem. You may now access DWG documents from AutoCAD at any time thanks to this new integration.
Improvements and Improved Performance
AutoCAD 2022 has improvements such as faster and more flexible installation, as well as the ability to operate in AutoCAD while it is being installed. Also, during the new installation, the typical number of interactions for installing the program was reduced. The revamped home tab allows you to access documents and other valuable items right from the home screen, and the graphic performance has been substantially enhanced.
Explore new features by logging in to your Autodesk account and downloading the latest software.
